Ernest Hemingway’s grandson writes tribute piece in Atlantic Salmon Journal
ST. ANDREWS, N.B. – The grandson of Ernest Hemingway is paying tribute to the renowned American author and journalist in the Atlantic Salmon Journal.
John Hemingway’s article, Salmon on the Seine, will be released in the magazine’s upcoming fall issue.
His piece focuses on his grandfather as a naturalist and conservationist, departing from traditional depictions of Hemingway as a blood sportsman and brawler.
Salmon on the Seine also touches on the return of wild Atlantic salmon to the Seine River in France following a 25-year cleanup effort.
Ernest Hemingway won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1954 in part for his influence over 20th century fiction.
Based in St. Andrews, N.B., the Atlantic Salmon Journal is the flagship publication of the Atlantic Salmon Federation and has put out quarterly issues since 1952.
