Deadline near for arts, culture, heritage grants

Local, incorporated, non-profit organizations interested in applying for a 2014 Arts and Culture Operating, Project or Community Public Art grant are reminded that the application deadline is Friday, Nov. 29.

These grants are awarded annually and organizations may apply to more than one grant category in the same calendar year. Last year, the City provided $185,200 to 33 local organizations to help enrich the art, culture and heritage experience for Kelowna residents.

Interested persons must submit their completed applications to the Cultural Services office located at 105-1014 Glenmore Drive by 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.

Grant applications will be reviewed by independent committees. Successful grant applicants will be notified in February 2014.

Guidelines, instructions and application forms can be found at kelowna.ca/culture.
