Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion has a date at Penticton’s Peachfest
PENTICTON – Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion is coming to Penticton in August.
The collective of musicians makes its way to the Peachfest stage in Okanagan Lake Park on Aug. 8 as the opening act for Emerson Drive on the festival’s country night.
Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion is listed as one of the 10 new country artists you need to know by Rolling Stone. The act includes Mitch Merrett, Corbett Frasz, Erik Dylan, Greg Carroll, Mike Little and special guest Clayton Bellamy, who bring touring experience and multi-faceted musicianship to the mix.
Writer Jim Beaugez describes the Rebellion’s sound as “a fleet of rumbling IROC-7s at Talladega revved up on leaded gasoline and ready to chase the checkered flag.”
Rebellion’s debut single, “Holy Smoke” along with their self-titled follow up track has a combined 1.7 million streams to date.
“They will be fantastic, do not miss opening act for Emerson Drive on Tim Hortons country night,” Peach Festival President Don Kendall said.
