B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down eight cents, or 3.15 per cent, to $2.46 on 3.6 million shares.
TransCanada Corp. (TSX:TRP). Oil and gas. Down three cents, or 0.05 per cent, to $60.30 on three million shares.
Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down 33 cents, or 3.93 per cent, to $8.07 on 2.8 million shares.
Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Down 21 cents, or 2.85 per cent, to $7.15 on 2.6 million shares. With uncertainty over a nearly $1.2-billion oilsands deal finally resolved, the company announced Monday that it’s shuffling its executive ranks and bumping up capital spending for 2014. CEO Sveinung Svarte, who has been at the helm of the company since 2006, will become vice-chairman on the company’s board of directors, where he’ll work on business development opportunities, such as joint-ventures.
Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM). Oil and gas. Down five cents, or 0.46 per cent, to $10.79 on 2.4 million shares.
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Down 79 cents, or 1.74 per cent, to $44.72 on 2.4 million shares.
Companies reporting major news:
Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B). Planes, train maker. Up two cents, or 0.55 per cent, to $3.65 on 1.9 million shares. The transportation equipment manufacturer’s stock rose slightly after the company said test flights on its CSeries commercial jetliner had resumed on Sunday. The aircraft was grounded for more than three months due to an engine failure related to a problem with oil lubrication. Bombardier said the entry into service of the CSeries is still on track for the second half of 2015.
