
Foul play not suspected in pickup fire near Oliver
PENTICTON – RCMP have ruled out arson in a pickup fire in rural Oliver last week. Human remains were found in the burned out vehicle.
Oliver RCMP were called to a remote location east of Oliver on April 30 where a burned out truck was discovered.
In an RCMP media release today, May 6, police say the investigation has further determined the origin of the fire is not deemed suspicious and criminality has been ruled out.
RCMP say the name of the deceased person will not be released.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is being asked to call local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
