BREAKING: House on fire in Peachland

PEACHLAND – A large plume of dark smoke visible to most of Peachland is a home on fire.

Several readers alerted us to the fire, shortly after 5 p.m. today, May 6. iNFOnews.ca reporter Kathy Michaels says the home on Desert Pines Road is fully engulfed.

Multiple fire trucks are on scene actively battling the blaze.

Traffic in the area, including Highway 97, is slowed while people are watching the black smoke billow from the home.

We will have more details as they become available.

The fire can be seen from the highway, which is causing traffic to slow down. Kathy Michaels
