SEATTLE – Expedia Group employees are moving into new Seattle headquarters as part of a relocation meant to improve the work environment.
KOMO-TV reports the travel company is relocating from nearby Bellevue to office space formerly occupied by biotechnology firm Amgen.
Construction is not yet complete, but Expedia officials say planned changes are intended to benefit 4,500 employees at the site.
They include elevated walkways between three buildings and design features connecting workers with the outdoors.
Expedia is offering incentives to reduce the use of cars near the headquarters, including parking shuttles and a walking bridge crossing over the street.
The company says it will provide a storage area for 400 bicycles and facilities including a gym, health clinic, marketplace for meals, and game fields.
