A second person has died after Monday’s small plane crash west of Kelowna, B.C.

VICTORIA – A second person has died after Monday’s small plane crash into a hillside west of Kelowna, B.C.

The B.C. Coroner’s Service says 24-year-old Lauren Patricia Sewell of Surrey, a passenger on the Piper Comanche, died in hospital.

Two other people who were aboard the craft when it crashed near Brenda Mines remain in hospital with serious injuries.

A fourth — 30-year-old Jayson Dallas Wesley Smith of Vancouver — died at the scene.

The plane was flying from Penticton to Boundary Bay in Delta, east of Vancouver, when it went down.

The Transportation Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
