Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Bank. Down 13 cents, or 0.23 per cent, to $57.47 on 3.5 million shares.

Tim Hortons Inc. (TSX:THI). Restaurants. Up 38 cents, or 0.43 per cent, to $88.62 on 737,847 shares. Documents filed with regulators show the company’s executives spent nearly six months negotiating the US$11-billion takeover deal with Burger King, a process that saw the American company increase its offer for the coffee chain three times.
