Disney World plans Frozen attraction at Epcot in Florida to replace Maelstrom ride

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Walt Disney World is planning a new attraction inspired by the ever-popular “Frozen” movie.

The “Frozen” attraction will go up at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot at the theme park near Orlando, Florida.

The new attraction replaces the Maelstrom boat ride. It will take guests to the fictional land of Arendelle and recreate moments and music from the film.

The pavilion will include an area where guests can meet the movie’s sister characters Anna and Elsa.

“Frozen” themes will also be a major part of holiday activities at the Magic Kingdom Park this year. Cinderella Castle will turn into an ice palace nightly starting in early November, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will include appearances by Anna, Elsa and other “Frozen” characters including Kristoff and Olaf.
