Kamloops Mounties arrest two men in stolen pickup
KAMLOOPS — Two men from Saskatchewan are in police custody after RCMP officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at a Sahali gas station this morning.
The employees of the Esso gas station on Columbia Street reported a vehicle that was parked behind the building to police at around 8:30 a.m. today, May 16, according to a RCMP media release.
When officers attended, they found two men sitting inside a pickup truck stolen out of Saskatchewan.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested without incident, but the 24-year-old male passenger resisted before he was taken into custody, police say.
"It was found that both men were breaching conditions from Saskatchewan. As well, the passenger had a warrant for his arrest from Saskatchewan," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Jodi Shelkie says the release.
Police have forwarded information to the B.C. Prosecution Service who will determine charges.
