Authorities: Bus overturns Sunday afternoon in Delaware, leaving several people injured

BEAR, Del. – Authorities say a bus carrying dozens of people has overturned in Delaware, causing several injuries.

A spokesman for the New Castle County Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred Sunday afternoon in the area of Bear. The official, Sgt. Michael McColley, says authorities believe approximately 40 people were on board. He says several people have been injured.

Details were sketchy immediately after the accident, which McColley says occurred about 4:20 p.m. Sunday.
