West Kelowna Warriors donate bus to high school ultimate frisbee team

WEST KELOWNA — A Lumby high school ultimate frisbee team now has the wheels to get to provincials thanks to a West Kelowna junior hockey team.

The West Kelowna Warriors Hockey Club stepped up to loan their bus to the Charles Bloom Secondary ultimate frisbee team, a media release says.

When the high school team first started making arrangements go to the provincial tournament in Surrey, they did not have enough parent drivers to take them.

That is until the Warriors donated their team bus to the ultimate frisbee team.

Jon Kineshanko, who has driven tractor trailers for years, has taken time off work to drive the team

Ultimate frisbee provincials start Thursday, May 23, at the Newton Athletic Park in Surrey.
