December is almost here and many residents are busy planning for the holidays, but don’t forget to plan your New Year resolutions for 2014.
If you want to try something new, or just stay active, take a look at the Winter Activity Guide, online starting Tuesday, Nov. 26. From fitness and cooking classes to sports for adults and kids, the guide has recreational opportunities for everyone, taking place in your neighbourhood.
Winter registration dates and times
December 3: General Programs (7:30 a.m.)
December 5: Aquatics and First Aid (7:30 a.m.)
December 6: Leagues (7:30 a.m.)
Programs for Persons with a Disability (9:30 a.m.)
The Winter Activity Guide’s online version now features videos showcasing select programs and activities. Just click on the ‘Play’ button that appears on the photo to see what the activity is all about before you sign up!
Avoid registration lineups by setting up your online registration account in advance – call 250-469-8800.
Hard copies of the guide are also available at H20 Adventure + Fitness Centre, Glenmore IGA, Main Library Downtown, Parkinson Recreation Centre, Rutland arena and more locations throughout Kelowna.
