TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (12,116.92 up 40.89points):

Zincore Metals Inc. (TSX:ZNC). Miner. Up 1.5 cents, or 12.50 per cent, at 13.5 cents on 20,151,966 shares. The metals and mining sector led the advancers on the main index, rising 1.99 per cent to 876.41 points.

Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN). Miner. Up 11 cents, or 2.40 per cent, at $4.70 on 7,131,458 shares.

Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT). Grain handler. Down two cents, or 0.12 per cent, at $16.13 on 4,596,437 shares.

Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX:LSG). Miner. Up six cents, or 6.32 per cent, at $1.01 on 4,366,817 shares. Last Friday, the company said it was increasing its previously announced bought deal offering by $15 million to $90 million. The money raised will be used to repay the company’s US$50 million credit facility and for general corporate purposes.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down a penny, or 0.03 per cent, at $32.19 on 4,109,323 shares.

Petrowest Corp. (TSX:PRW). Oil and gas. Down 2.5 cents, or 7.14 per cent, at 32.5 cents on 4,079,500 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,239.32 up 9.98 points):

Anatolia Energy Corp. (TSXV:AEE). Oil and gas explorer/developer. Up a penny, or 8.33 per cent, at 13 cents on 4,073,929 shares.

Zodiac Exploration Inc. (TSXV:ZEX). Oil and gas services. Unchanged at three cents on 4,011,900 shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:CUF.UN). Real estate. Down two cents, or 0.08 per cent, at $24.65 on 390,358 shares. Cominar said it received $276 million in net proceeds from its public offering of equity units and may use the money towards the cost of buying 68 properties from GE Capital Real Estate.

Terra Nova Energy Inc. (TSXV:TGC). Oil and gas. Up 5.5 cents, or 28.21 per cent, at 25 cents on 134,592 shares. The Calgary-based company began trading under its new name on Tuesday. It had been called Terra Nova Minerals Inc., prior to receiving shareholder approval last week.
