CIS Roundup: Calgary Dinos squeak by Manitoba Bisons 42-41 on late field goal

CALGARY – Johnny Mark hit a 25-yard field goal at the 14:07 mark of the fourth quarter as the Calgary Dinos edged the Manitoba Bisons 42-41 in Canadian university football action.

Quarterback Andrew Buckley completed 18-of-32 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns to lead Calgary (4-0). Brett Blaszko was Buckley’s favourite target, reeling in three TD catches.

QB Jordan Yantz was equally impressive for Manitoba (2-2), completing 26-of-45 passes for 426 yards and four touchdowns. Matt Sawyer caught two of those TDs.

The Dinos were ranked second across Canada heading into the game, while the Bisons were No. 9.

TORONTO — Austin Kennedy threw for 406 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Windsor crushed York.

Wide receiver Evan Pszczonak caught 152 yards and a touchdown for the Lancers (4-0), while Jonathon Howard rushed 98 yards for the Lions (0-5).
