Elderly man has wallet stolen at Penticton mall

PENTICTON – RCMP are reaching out to the public in an effort to return a stolen wallet to an elderly Penticton man.

RCMP say in a media release the elderly man was riding his scooter in the Cherry Lane Mall yesterday, May 28, when he put down his wallet briefly and it was taken. Police do not say what time the theft happened.

The wallet contained several irreplaceable family photos.

If anyone witnessed this theft, or comes across the photographs, they are encouraged to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300, and quote file 2019-8080, or call Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
