BERLIN – Germany police say several people were injured in what appeared to be a gas explosion at coffee shop on a busy shopping street in Frankfurt.
The German news agency dpa reported that according to initial investigations the explosion happened Monday afternoon in the coffee shop’s kitchen.
Dpa said Frankfurt police did not yet have any specific information about how many people were injured and how severe the injuries were.
Police, medics and firefighters were still working at the scene of the incident.
