Kelowna man badly beaten downtown

KELOWNA – RCMP are looking for your help to find two suspects wanted in connection with an assault on a 47-year-old man in downtown Kelowna early Friday morning.

According to witnesses, two men jumped out of a small, grey pickup truck on Leon Avenue near Ellis Street at around 1:25 a.m. and attacked the Kelowna man.

RCMP say the victim was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with serious injuries.

“He has since been released but will require further medical care to deal with his injuries,” Const. Kris Clark says.

Clark says the victim isn’t homeless and police don’t know what provoked the attack.

Police describe both suspects as six-feet tall, with large builds and short hair.

They were last seen driving away in the small pickup, possibly a Toyota or Nissan, with what was believed to be Alberta plates, according to RCMP.
