
Crews fighting wildfire east of Silver Star
SILVER STAR – A fire east of Silver Star Provincial Park that started yesterday is currently out of control.
A fire at Bobby Burns Road, located just east of Silver Star Provincial Park and south of Mabel Lake Provincial Park, broke out on June 1. It's grown to 0.8 hectares in size.
Taylor MacDonald with the Kamloops Fire Centre said six personnel are currently at the scene of the fire, which is regarded as out of control at the moment. Lightning is the suspected cause of the fire.
