KELOWNA – Tear gas was fired into a Glenmore home early this morning, June 6, as RCMP executed a search warrant.
A quantity of suspected illegal drugs was seized from the home on the 2300 block of Longhill Road, along with two replica firearms.
“A dynamic entry into the residence was made by the Emergency Response Team, who deployed tear gas canisters inside the home,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a news release.
“A single occupant was located inside the home during the warrant execution, and he was taken into police custody without any incident.”
A 64-year-old Kelowna man, who is believed to have ties to the local drug trade, was later released without being charged.
