BARCELONA, Spain – Canada’s artistic swim team is coming away from an Olympic tune up event with seven medals.
The group won four gold and three bronze at the Artistic Swimming World Series Super Final in Barcelona this week.
Jacqueline Simoneau of Saint-Laurent, Que., finished first in the women’s solo technical and free events.
She also captured a pair of golds alongside Calgary’s Claudia Holzner in duet technical and duet free.
Canada finished third in a trio of team events, including technical, free and mixed team.
The team will remain in Europe to train ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, where they are set to compete in team and duet events.
