CIS Football: Carabins beat Stingers 36-3 in matchup between two ranked teams

MONTREAL – The No. 5 Montreal Carabins used 20 first-quarter points to down the No. 9 Concordia Stingers 36-3 on Saturday in Canadian university football action.

Gabriel Cousineau completed 23 of his 27 passes, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns for Montreal (5-1). Regis Cibasu caught five passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Regis Cibasu made eight catches for 114 yards.

Keegan Treloar was successful in Concordia’s (4-2) lone field goal attempt.

WOLFVILLE, N.S. β€” Ryan Begin hit five field goals for Acadia (2-4) as they defeated St. F.X. (3-3). Donald Tabor caught for 73 yards for the X-Men.

SACKVILLE, N.B. β€” Running back Emmanuel Musangu rushed for two touchdowns as eighth-ranked Mount Allison (6-0) routed St. Mary’s (0-6). Kicker Chase Kodejs scored on a rouge for the Huskies only point.

KINGSTON, Ont. β€” Quarterback Billy McPhee completed 22-of-35 passes for 306 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions to lead Queen’s (1-5) past Toronto (1-6).Nate Hobbs connected on two-of-three passes for the Gaels for 78 yards and a touchdown.Simon Nassar led the Blues offence with 341 passing yards and three touchdowns.
