Alberta man identified as victim in single-vehicle crash in southern B.C.

SPARWOOD, B.C. – A man from Lethbridge, Alta., has been identified as the victim in a crash in southeastern B.C.

RCMP say 35-year-old Clark Bohmer was killed Monday in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 3 near Sparwood.

Police say Bohmer was the only occupant in the vehicle towing a fifth-wheel trailer when it left the road, slid about 150 metres in the ditch and landed on its side in Alexander Creek.

The man was found dead at the scene.

Sparwood Fire and Rescue and the Elk Valley Search and Rescue water recovery team helped to retrieve the body.

Mounties are still investigating the cause of the crash.
