Ex-Downing Street aide found guilty in indecent image case

LONDON – A former aide in Prime Minister David Cameron’s office has been found guilty of five counts of taking indecent images of children.

The ex-employee, 65-year-old Patrick Rock, was found guilty Wednesday in Southwark Crown Court on five counts of taking pictures of scantily clad girls as young as 10.

Rock had argued that the images downloaded on his iPad on three days in August 2013 weren’t indecent.

Though none of the girls were naked, prosecutors had claimed they were in sexualized poses in swimwear and bras.

The jury took eight hours to convict him of the five counts. He was acquitted on three similar charges, and jurors were unable to agree on 12 other counts.
