VERNON – A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital yesterday after he was assaulted while riding his bicycle.
According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release, police were called to 33 Street and Coldstream Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m. yesterday, June 20. Police found the 30-year-old Vernon on the ground with what appeared to non-life threatening injuries.
"The victim in this incident is not cooperating with police at this time, therefore no arrests have made," RCMP Const. Kelly Brett said in the release. "The two males involved are known to each other and police believe it was a targeted attack."
RCMP have released no other information regarding the incident.
