New open air Art Market headed to downtown Kelowna

KELOWNA – The first Art Market will be held in Kelowna next week.

The Art Market will be held July 5 in the cultural district’s Art Walk Commons at the Rotary Centre for the Arts from 4 to 8 p.m., according to a City of Kelowna media release.

It will also be open every Friday following, as well as Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., until Aug. 30.

The market will feature local artists, live music and handcrafted pieces.

The goal of the arts council’s Art Market is to create a vibrant event to support and showcase the many talented local artists in our community, the city said.

The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is a non-profit organization whose objective is to support all local arts by offering venues, advocating for artists and providing artists with funding grants.

Spots at the Art Market for vendors are still open, and artists can apply here.
