NHL game postponed due to Parliament Hill attack rescheduled for November

OTTAWA – The game between the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs that was postponed because of Wednesday’s shooting on Parliament Hill has been rescheduled for Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at Canadian Tire Centre.

The game originally scheduled for Wednesday night was postponed by the NHL after the attack in Ottawa.

A Canadian Forces soldier at the National War Memorial was killed by a masked gunman, who then moved up the street to launch an attack on nearby Parliament Hill.

The assailant was shot dead inside parliament’s Centre Block.

It’s the second time in less than two years that the NHL has rescheduled a game due to a violent incident.

In April 2013, the league cancelled a game between the Bruins and Senators after the Boston Marathon bombing.
