Police say 14-year-old boy fatally stabbed in Houston

Houston police say a 14-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in a strip mall parking lot.

Police say the teenager, Joseph Aguirre-Flores, was attacked late Monday night in southwest Houston.

Witnesses told police they heard a scream then saw Aguirre-Flores running from the parking lot to a street, where he died. Witnesses say they also saw two men fleeing the scene.

Investigators are reviewing security video, but no arrests have been made.

Houston police aren’t sure what Aguirre-Flores was doing in the area.

It’s the second fatal stabbing of a boy in Houston in recent weeks. Eleven-year-old Josue Flores was killed May 17 as he walked home from school. A suspect was arrested June 3 and is being held on a murder charge.
