Missing hunter found north of Logan Lake

KAMLOOPS – A Logan Lake man has been found safe and sound after spending the night in the bush.

Volunteers with Logan Lake Search and Rescue found at the missing man, 37, at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday in the Tunkwa Lake area.

He had a fire going and was in good shape according to searchers.

The man had been hunting with a friend Saturday when they split up.

The hunter planned to track a deer through some rugged terrain and planned to meet up with his friend later that afternoon.

The hunter didn’t show up and a search was started.

The missing man told his rescuers that he got turned around after shooting the deer and trying to walk out.

When it started to get dark, he decided to stay put.

When the search team found him early this morning he was in good spirits. He won’t need to go to the hospital.
