PENTICTON – A man who went kayaking in Okanagan Lake this weekend has gone missing and RCMP asking for the public's help to find him.
Colin Palmer, 41, was reported missing by his family on Saturday, July 13, after he took his kayak out on Okanagan Lake in choppy water near Sunoka Beach, according to a Penticton RCMP media release.
Members of the Penticton Fire Department and RCMP in a fixed-wing airplane searched for Palmer yesterday, July 17, and the search continues today, police say.
RCMP describe Palmer as a Caucasian man, 6' tall, 160 lbs. with dyed green hair and green eyes. The kayak is baby blue on top with a white hull.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
