KAMLOOPS – A fire in a Westsyde mobile home park that took the life of a woman and displaced a family was originally considered suspicious, but after investigation, it has been determined it was not arson.
Kamloops RCMP and Kamloops Fire Rescue has uncovered evidence that has verified the blaze was not set intentionally.
Fiona France lost her life in the fire that started at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday morning, July 15.
According to a release from the Kamloops RCMP, the cause of the fire has still not been determined. The B.C. Coroners Service is still investigating this death, and the local RCMP detachment will continue to support their investigation.
