
Two men charged after home invasion in Kelowna
KELOWNA – Kelowna RCMP have charged two local men with break and enter and other charges after they broke in, bear sprayed and robbed occupants of a home in the city.
The incident happened in the 1700 block of Richter Street at around 1:14 a.m. Monday, July 15, in what was described in an RCMP news release as a targeted attack.
Police say the suspects escaped with cash and personal possessions of the man and two women in the home at the time before being tracked down by a police dog.
The victims were treated at the scene.
Paul Davis Houle, 32, of Kelowna was held in police custody and charged with break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Tyler Brice Rathbone, 34, of Lake Country was initially released then taken back into custody and charged with break and enter, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm.
