Student suffers multiple wounds after stabbing at Vancouver-area high school

SURREY, B.C. – The Mounties are searching for a suspect after a stabbing at a Vancouver-area high school that left a student with multiple wounds.

The stabbing happened at a school in Surrey, located southeast of Vancouver.

A news release says a male student was transported to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his back, though his condition isn’t known.

The release says a male suspect, who investigators have identified as another student, fled on foot.

Police have recovered the knife and are looking for the suspect.
