Lower Mainland non-profit society to expand haircuts for homeless program to Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The president and founder of a non-profit society from Langley says he will be expanding his haircut program for the homeless to Kamloops in the upcoming weeks.

Augustino Duminuco who founded Infinite Expansion Foundation, a society dedicated to helping less fortunate people in the Lower Mainland, says he is ready to start a new chapter in Kamloops.

The program offers courtesy haircuts while also establishing self-worth, Duminuco says.

“When I go get my haircut every two weeks I leave that place feeling like a million bucks,” he says. “You feel great, look good and you are on a different vibration. So that’s what it’s all about.”

Duminuco says he doesn’t have an exact date yet but guesses he will have the program up and running in the next six to seven weeks. He hopes the program will run anywhere from once to a few times a month.

Currently, he is looking for hairdressers who are looking to donate their time.

“We are just looking for barbers, hairdressers any sort of hairstylist who wants to contribute their time,” he says.
