Country star Garth Brooks serenades and offers support to cancer patient at Minneapolis show

MINNEAPOLIS – A woman fighting breast cancer found herself front and centre during a recent Garth Brooks concert in Minneapolis, when she was serenaded by the country music super star.

Teresa Shaw and her daughter travelled from Iowa to see Brooks’ show in Minneapolis on Friday. Shaw brought a sign that read, “Chemo this morning. Garth tonight. Enjoy the dance.”

During Brooks’ hit song “The Dance,” Shaw was next to the stage when Brooks walked over and started singing to her. He then handed her his guitar and kissed her on the forehead.

KARE-TV (http://kare11.tv/1uRjTvu ) reports that Brooks took Shaw’s sign and held it up, telling her that he and everyone in the audience were sending her strength to beat her cancer.
