‘Frasier’ star Kelsey Grammer plots return to Broadway in musical ‘Finding Neverland’

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Kelsey Grammer is returning to Broadway in the musical “Finding Neverland.”

Producers said Thursday that the “Cheers” and “Frasier” will join “Glee” star Matthew Morrison in the musical directed by Diane Paulus that explores the Peter Pan book’s back story. Previews begin in March.

Morrison will play J.M. Barrie, the “Peter Pan” author and Grammer will play his producer. The musical is adapted from the 2004 whimsical film of the same name about a widow whose four young sons inspired Barrie to write the children’s classic.

Grammer, a five-time Emmy Award winner, earned a Tony Award nomination for his work in “La Cage aux Folles.”
