Suspect arrested by Kamloops RCMP after theft of ATV

KAMLOOPS — A 40-year-old Cache Creek man is in custody after Kamloops RCMP received a report of a theft of an ATV last weekend.

Kamloops RCMP responded to an incident on July 28 of a man breaking into a fenced compound of a business that sells ATVs. When the officer attended, a man was sitting on an ATV outside of the compound.

When the officer told the man he was arrested, the men fled on foot and the officer pursued arresting him a short distance away.

The suspect was taken into custody. Police have forwarded investigational material to the B.C. Prosecution Service to determine charges.
