
Penticton Peach Festival opens with Snowbirds and Skyhawks
PENTICTON – The Snowbirds are making an appearance in Penticton, just in time for the first day of Peachfest.
The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds CT-114 Tutors demo team is scheduled to appear over Okanagan Lake in Penticton tomorrow, Aug. 7, according to the Royal Canadian Airforce website.
Peters Bros. Construction present the opening day air show for the 72nd edition of Peach Festival, as the Canadian Forces Skyhawks parachute team and the Snowbirds perform along the Okanagan Lake waterfront.
The Skyhawks take to the air at 5 p.m., followed by the Snowbirds at 6 p.m.
Most of the action takes place over Okanagan Lake Park, with large crowds expected along the Penticton waterfront.
