Kamloops Mounties search for suspect in CANCO robbery

KAMLOOPS –  Mounties are looking for a man behind a late-night gas station robbery. 

The Kamloops RCMP responded Aug. 9 at approximately 11:10 p.m., to a robbery complaint at the CANCO gas station located at 228 Tranquille Rd.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a male, wearing a black hoody over his head, allegedly presented an empty bag to the employee and demanded the money from the till.

"No weapons were produced, and while shaken up, the employee was unharmed,"  Staff Sgt Mat. Van Laer said, in a press release.

The suspect was further described as Caucasian, under five-foot-five and of small stature.

The Kamloops RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with any information about this robbery is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
