KELOWNA – Two men were injured Sunday when the golf cart they were driving flipped.
At approximately 2 p.m. the Kelowna Fire Department dispatch center received a call from BCAS reporting a golf cart accident at the Tower Ranch Golf Course on the 12th fairway.
Fire and BCAS crews arrived on scene and were then transported from golf course staff, platoon captain John Kelly said in a press release.
One injured man suffered significant ankle, hip and shoulder injuries. He had been ejected from a golf cart which had rolled and landed on top of him. Another man also suffered minor injuries.
The Kelowna Fire Department ATV (Gator) was dispatched to the scene to provide secure transportation from the fairway back to the waiting ambulance.
The patient was accessed, treated and then packaged at the scene prior to transport.
Both patients were transported to KGH.
