A Vernon man sentenced to a life-long firearms ban was arrested Friday when police found guns in his home.
Vernon RCMP came to the home located on the 3400 block of Okanagan Avenue to assist a property manager and it was then they happened to notice two gun cases inside the home. Further investigation revealed three firearms that were reported stolen in the Armstrong area Jan. 24.
A 41-year-old man was arrested for breach of weapons probation and breach of a conditional sentence order. Police say the man is well know to police. He appears in court today.
