Man who had heart problem after wearing Donkey Kong outfit at Los Angeles Zoo sues Nintendo

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A man who says he suffered a serious heart condition after wearing a Donkey Kong ape costume at the Los Angeles Zoo has sued Nintendo.

The Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/1pQ3iG8 ) says Parker Mills sued Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

His attorney, Tyler Barnett, says Mills was hired to play the ape character in May for the launch of a Nintendo 3DS game.

Mills claims he was denied breaks while talking to zoo guests and didn’t get a required ice pack to cool him.

His lawsuit says a company ambassador hired to escort Mills didn’t provide proper oversight.

His attorneys say Mills suffered a tearing of his aortic walls and now has a permanent heart defibrillator.

A call seeking comment from Nintendo representatives wasn’t immediately returned.
