KAMLOOPS – Multiple police units could been seen in downtown Kamloops earlier today as RCMP arrested a man wanted for mischief in relation to a domestic violence investigation.

Kamloops RCMP arrested a 22-year-old man at 12:45 p.m. today, Aug. 20, at the corner of Victoria Street and 2 Avenue, according to an RCMP media release.

“This arrest involved multiple police units as the male had been running from police after being spotted earlier at 5 Avenue and Lansdowne,” Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Ed Preto says in the release.

Police say the man is currently being held in custody for a court appearance tomorrow, Aug. 21. RCMP have forwarded investigational information to the B.C. Prosecution Service who will determine if there will be charges.
