House fire in Amos, Que., claims three lives

AMOS, Que. – Three people are dead after a house fire in Amos, Quebec.

Firefighters were called at about 3 p.m. Monday by a labourer who was working in a nearby house in the community almost 500 kilometres north of Montreal.

Once the blaze was extinguished, three bodies were discovered inside.

Quebec provincial police says the fire is considered suspicious, although an investigation will be undertaken to determine the cause.

The names, ages and genders of the victims have not yet been released.
