Soap opera actor pleads guilty to vehicular assault for Ohio crash; says he drank, fell asleep

JEFFERSON, Ohio – Soap opera actor Freddie Smith has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the car crash that seriously injured his girlfriend in northeast Ohio.

The 26-year-old “Days of Our Lives” actor from Los Angeles lost control of a vehicle Oct. 7 in Ashtabula (ash-tuh-BYOO’-luh) County. He pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony vehicular assault and misdemeanour driving under the influence.
