Retired Mexican soccer player Jorge Campos stops by Kamloops restaurant

KAMLOOPS – A downtown Kamloops restaurant recently had a visit from a world-renowned retired Mexican soccer player.

Jorge Campos, considered one of Mexico’s greatest goalkeeper’s of all time, recently stopped by Casa Azul in downtown Kamloops, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page posted on Aug. 15.

“Casa Azul had the pleasure of welcoming one of Mexico’s greatest soccer legends, Jorge Campos, who joined us for dinner,” the post reads.

Campos played professionally for 16 years before retiring in 2004.
