Just taking the horses for a dip in the Okanagan

KELOWNA – On a nice summer day, Okanagan residents love to plunge into a cool lake for a refreshing swim.

The same is true for horses.

This video was taken Monday, Aug. 26 when Kailey Evans on a horse named Seeker and Jasmine Chambers on horse Little Red were out riding at the Wood Lake boat launch when the they took their horses for a stroll in the lake and a bit of a swim.

The horses are boarded nearby but they don't get to hit the lake very often.

"It's usually quite busy," Evans told iNFOnews.ca. "We try to stay out of people's way."

Evans is a photographer and shoots a fair bit of video. You can check out her work on Facebook.
