Fisherman finds body near Williams Lake

KAMLOOPS – RCMP are working to identify a body that was located by a fisherman on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The fisherman found the body on by the Sheep Creek Bridge in Williams Lake. Search and Rescue, Williams Lake RCMP, and conservation officers all attended the scene.

The Williams Lake RCMP is going over information regarding missing persons as they work to identify the body.

“We are aware of the most recent missing person investigation and the charges that have been laid and we are exhausting all possibilities to determine if there is any connection with these investigations,”  said Inspector Jeff Pelley with Williams Lake RCMP.

Branton Regner went missing on August 9 after an incident on the Rudy Johnson Bridge. RCMP have not determined if this is the same man.
