B.C. RCMP, coroner investigating after body found in burning truck

KELOWNA, B.C. – The RCMP and the coroner are investigating after a man’s body was discovered in a burning truck in B.C.’s Okanagan, though police don’t suspect foul play.

Fire crews in Kelowna were called Saturday evening to the truck, which was found engulfed in flames outside of an elementary school.

RCMP Sgt. Greg Dickie says the truck was on fire and there were also small explosions.

It’s not clear what happened, but Dickie says investigators don’t suspect foul play.

Police have identified the man, but his name has not been publicly released.
